An IV infusion, or intravenous drip, delivers fluids, or nutrients directly into a vein at a steady rate. A catheter placed in the vein connects to a fluid bag (1 liter of fluid), allowing the body to absorb the contents immediately without passing through the digestive system.  Please allow 45 minutes to 1 hour for this appointment.
